A nest is designed to survive the winter times and come out of the cold intact... Sometimes winter in Berlin is like a dark veil, engulfing the city with an atmosphere of tristesse.
The installation black "nest" derived from this feeling, with its construction consisting of slates and pieces of wood wildly patched together, trying to find shelter underneath a willow tree.
The cables coming out of it have a light bulb at the end, signalling the light of hope, the belief in the return of the sun. Every winter makes way for another flowering spring eventually, with the willow tree blooming in full white, as many things which seem melancholic or sad are followed by joy and pleasure if we take the time to see this.
