我们在这个项目中试图寻找传统的酒店功能和一些带有社会性的公共/商业功能之间更为积极的关系，并以此为基础，使这两种功能彼此受益。由锈钢穿孔板/格栅所代表的公共商业功能从地面层开始，与周边城市发生交错渗透的复杂关系，并从浅灰色混凝土挂板代表的酒店客房功能的长方形体量中逐渐盘旋上升，结束于建筑顶层的观景餐厅。此间，公共功能和酒店客房功能在平面流线上被有效的隔离并仅保留授权联络，保证客房部分使用的私密性和安全性。建筑中央的共享空间阶段性地和室外环境保持联络，将自然光和通风引入建筑空间内部。
We are trying to seek a more positive and interactive relationship between the more convectional hotel function with a series of social/commercial functions， and ultimately being beneficial to both. Clad with Cor-ten Steel perforated panel， the social function volume initiated at the ground level， permeable to the urban fabric， and continues to grow vertically， engraves through the hotel function volume veneered by precast concrete panels， eventually ends at the top floor observatory restaurant. At each floor plan， such two major systems are only connected with authorized access， to ensure the privacy and safety of the hotel suites. The atrium， carved out in the central area of the building block， periodically engaged with the outdoor environment， inducing the natural light and fresh air into the space.
