The use of Stucco dates back to 9,000 years ago when the ancient Mesopotamia culture was developed. Egyptians mixed gypsum with water to fill the construction joints of pyramids. Through the ages, the mixing of limestone, glue and resin has produced the gypsum similar to marble. In the 1960s and the 1970s, Italy started to reacquaint with Stucco facings and technology. “Stucco veneziano” has been translated into “Venetian Plaster” in English since 1980. Stucco of Modern Masters has five effects, i.e. Venetian Plaster, Travertino, Marmorino, Antico and Cement.
