本案位於喧囂商場中，有別於周邊令人眼花撩亂的櫥窗佈景，這座餐廳運用了六邊形作為設計語言，讓單一重覆的幾何圖形貫徹全室，織構成理性秩序的背景，在胡桃木與純白色系所佈局的純淨背幕裡，襯托出賓客的優美食態。 全案的設計靈感源自基地原有的巨型六角柱，設計師以六角圖案營塑出整體空間的脈絡。從一個平面的幾何概念，發展成為三維室內建築空間。六邊形的完美力學結構，如同蜂巢般的連結鋪排手法，揭示了這座餐廳以友誼為主題的深刻意涵。
餐廳牆面使用胡桃木雕刻而成的立體六邊形作排序。數以百計的六邊形及其木紋走向隨著光影漸變加深了立體效果，不斷交接連綿的六邊形編構出別具特色的主牆，成為烘托全室的精緻背景。除了立面造型，設計師也為地坪微微的鋪排出六邊形輪廓，天花板也滿佈暗喻六邊形的手法，懸吊式燈泡外框及其排列方式均是以六邊形作為構思基礎，將賓客置身於一座富含雕塑韻味的空間裡。
硬體與家具設施，取用六邊形概念加以變造，活潑了空間的視覺秩序。售票櫃檯運用純白色的可麗耐(Corian)?石雕塑而成，立體櫃身採用仿鑽切邊，微妙的呼應六邊形線條。燒味食品櫃檯位於走道末端，設計師運用純白的可麗耐?石造櫃檯與多邊形櫥窗，將熱絡的供餐互動畫面化作展演框景。而引動全案靈感的巨型六角柱，在明鏡包裹下融入空間裡，表層精緻的六角鏡面拼接，讓柱身變為一座能多重反射環境的造型量體，對照出空間的虛實趣味。
在座位設計上，略具領域感的卡座區，也滲透入六邊形語彙，無論是斜邊檯面或是餐檯末端的六邊形飾鏡，都蘊藏了造型趣味。蜂巢般組合的六邊形座位區與巨大的六角柱構成尺度對比的層次，再度點明全案的設計語彙。

Sited in a noisy market where clamorous space causes confusion, BUDDIES CAF? is set in an ordered rhythm with a hexagon pattern as its iconic trademark. Walnut wood and pure white color delivers a sense of pure serenity, where guests are entertained by the food and space.
The interior design is said to be derived from a hexagon column; the unit obtains its energy from a single geometrical type to a spatial system; hexagon is used to layout the plan and to the developments of interior detail.
The restaurant’s partition is covered with carved walnut wood in hexagon relief motif; the pattern forms the main backdrop of the restaurant with undulating rhythms and a fascinating shading effect. The floor is covered with a hexagonal pattern so does its ceiling formation which guides the positional layout of the lighting fixtures.
The hexagonal layout extends further to the furniture design; Corian artificial stone is chiseled into a diamond facet in response to the hexagonal pattern. Corian is also used to tailor the barbecue table in a similar pattern as well. The big hexagonal column is not revealed as naked but is wrapped by mirrors. The reflections are subject to its multiple surfaces building up a total illusive fantasy.
The sitting area design adopts the principle of zoning to achieve privacy control while mainly respecting the geometrical layout which is hexagonal like a beehive. This particular geometry is echoed while it proportionally contrasts the central hexagonal column thus exhibiting a surreal dialogue of the scale.
Geometry is a simple yet derivative concept in the project; the spatial layout system metaphorically depicts a simple idea of order, an order that represents an inseparable link between social network and natural system.
