The Datong old town is located in Tonglin city ,Anhui province, with a history of more than 1000 years. In ancient times, Datong was famous for its convenient transportation, economy, and salt industry. Heyue island ,formerly called Lotus Island, is located on the Yangtze River. The island, which belongs to Datong, is also full of history. Natural villages began to form there as early as Qing Dynasty in Chinese history. The Heyue island is once called “little Shanghai” because of its prosperity. 1 With the development of Modernization in Tonglin City, people begin to forget the old Heyue island. 2 In recent years, the local residents are forced to move to the other side of the Yangtze River. 3 The buildings on the Heyue old street are mostly discarded and need to be repaired 4 The rich natural environment resources are being greatly damaged. Our basic goal (first step goal) is to revive Local residents move back Lipotes raise and conservation centre as an education centre for all citizens Protect and make full use of the natural resources Providing the thought of “ harmony” between human and nature. Human: Reminding people of the history and the traditional ways of living on the Heyue island. We abstract the image into the floating and flowing board which aims to activate the place. All the materials are made from sustainable materials from the native
