Worked as a lecturer in Suzhou Art and Design Technology Institute, the main interest was focused on culture and form. The exploration on design approach for culture related space was reflected on a wide spectrum of design practices and research, previously on building renovation. Under such academic interests and domains, the projects and research participated in or in charge of ranged from Buddha thematic space to Suzhou regional culture and industrial heritage. As for the recent research on Chinese modern interior design history, the main research on Revitalization Movement of Traditional and Regional Culture in interior design development were emphasized. As one of teachers for interior design studio, the experiences of related practices and research were adopted to designing courses. Students were encouraged to contemplate and design under Suzhou regional culture context. Holding the belief that experience in a different culture background brought new perspectives and ideas, the academic visit in top design schools and companies, which was regarded as the foundation to nurture a designer's inspiration and passion for further development was highly expected.
