MGM Grand Macau
MGM Grand Macau: Curvaceous Facade
The MGM Grand Macau is one of the latest 5 star luxury hotels & casinos to arrive in Macau's ever-expanding luxury hospitality scene. It is located on the main island, where currently most of the happenings are to be found, including several casinos that has firstly inaugurated post handover to China, which also seen the fall of local mega-tycoon Stanley Ho's sole monopoly on the gaming industry. The Grand Lisboa, Wynn, Sands and Mandarin Oriental are all located in close proximity, but this will change very soon when the Cotai Strip opens in the next few years. (Cotai = Coloane and Taipa, derived by the name of 2 islands that is being joined by reclaimed land where it will sits)
The Four Seasons Macau will open in Cotai Strip in October, which will be followed by St. Regis, Shangri-La, Mandarin Oriental, and many more.

MGM Grand Macau: The Lion
Looking up towards the top of the MGM Grand Macau and it's signature lion logo.
Macau Skyline: The Grand Lisboa
Catching reflection of two of Macau's tallest buildings, including the recently inaugurated Grand Lisboa Tower. It was an amazing sight looking across the glittering lake with the most unusual shaped tower you'll ever seen!.
MGM Grand Macau: The Room
The spacious 48 m2 rooms at the MGM Grand Macau is exquisitely appointed amidst contemporary design with plenty of marble, glass and wood. The signature feature is the curved glass separating the bathroom and the main bedroom area, with electronically-operated curtain.
Although superbly-appointed, The Wynn Macau next door are better equipped. But the undisputed best hotel in Macau is the breathtakingly contemporary Crown Towers Macau, my #2 all time favourite hotel.

MGM Grand Macau: The Rossio
An overview of the main dining area of Rossio, one of the fine dining establishments at the MGM Grand Macau. This contemporary dining area is designed by the celebrated Japanese designer Super Potato under the helm of Takashi Sugimoto. Rossio is the firm's first foray in Macau, after conquering nearly every corner of major Asian cities, most notably in its home town of Tokyo.
That said, the extravagantly expensive food at Rossio is quite a let down. I guess it is a feast to the eye only. The food at the Wynn Macau and Mandarin Oriental Macau are much better, the best actually.
Other signature project by Super Potato includes: Park Hyatt Seoul, Hyatt Regency Kyoto and Grand Hyatt Singapore.
