Milan update: somewhat belatedly, here are works by the ten young British designers selected for the Top Ten show held at the British Council offices in Milan last month.

Top: Snap and Dine by Demelza Hill, University of Brighton. Above and below: Pewter Stool by Max Lamb, Royal College of Art

Below: Hamster Shredder by Thomas Ballhatchet, Central St. Martins College of Art and Design. A cage in which the hamster, while using it’s wheel, operates a paper shredder to renew bedding.


The show celebrates ten years of graduate design shows at the Via Manzoni premises.

Above and below: Less Lamp by Jordi Canudas, Royal College of Art – a hanging light which the user breaks apart themselves to create the desired lighting
