After it snowed,all the city was covered in white.I visited the Great Wall and a commune,which actually is a group of villas,with my calssmates on Monday.
The first of all,we visited the commune by the Great Wall ,which is a private collection of contemporary architecture designed by 12 Asian architects.There are more than forty villas,we visited the most famous villa:SUITCASE HOUSE.This is a rectangular building that looks like a cargo container or a shoebox,so it was called 'SUITCASE HOUSE'.The outside of the villa is composed of wood and cement.The color of wood really stood out against the white snow,so this is what impressed me most .
The interior space was so beautiful:vast areas of wood and glass windows made the room bright and comfortable.Apart from a pull-down metal ladder,which connected the upper level living area with the roof space.While all other rooms,including the lounge,dining room,study,kitchen,four bedrooms and bathrooms,storage space and sauna,were all hidden away beneath fifty hinged floor panels.When these hinged floor panels were placed upright,they served as room-dividers.When opened,a few steps downstairs led to a completely different space.I thouht the concept was very significant for changing people's lives and expanding interior functions.
And then we visited the Great Wall.It looked like a sleeping warrior under the snow.The Great Wall was very precipitous and dangerous after snow,we climbed along the steps hand in hand together with grasping handrail.When we mounted the beacon tower,all the people shouted loudly at the horizon,and I shouted loudly:I'm a true man finally!haa~~~I was very happy and proud of it.
I love the snow,villas and the Great Wall etc.,in a short word I love everything in winter.Christmas and the New Year's Day are coming up,I am looking forward to hearing the bell……
